Artistic Expression and Stage

Theatre during Shakespeare's time was a fouring art form, with the stage serving as a reflection of societal norms and gender dynamics.  Paradoxically, women were prohibited from acting on stage, and their roles were preformed by young boys.  These societal restrictions prevented women from showcasing their talents and participating in a burgeoning industry that showcased the human condition.  Nevertheless, it is essential to acknowledge the exceptional strength of character and ingenuity displayed by women like Elizabethan actress and poet Anne Bradstreet, who defied these limitations to express their creative voices.
